A true intermediary between the company and the client, the marketing and communication assistant takes care of the follow-up of client files, including the elaboration of estimates, the processing of orders for e-traders, invoicing, contact research for the constitution of a database, etc. Through qualitative and quantitative surveys and analyses (markets, products, competition, customers) carried out by the MCA, the company can implement reliable and effective marketing campaigns.

Under the supervision of the marketing or communication manager, his or her first role is similar to that of an assistant. However, depending on the size of the company in which he/she works, his/her missions, involvement and degree of autonomy may differ. In a large firm, the MCA may be required to perform specific tasks as part of the deployment of a strategic project.

Working hand-in-hand with his/her superior in the implementation of the marketing/communication plan (in its entirety or for certain parts of the plan), the marketing and communication assistant is in charge of promotional actions or image campaigns aimed at boosting the notoriety of a product or brand. In other words, he/she is responsible for the smooth running of campaigns throughout their existence. It is he who conveys the image of the product and the brand.
